It is with regret that we announce that our 2026 World Congress in Seoul will be delayed. In extensive discussions with the local organizing committee, led by Hee-Seok Oh, along with the program committee, led by Siva Athreya, both IMS and Bernoulli Society leadership have determined that our World Congress must be delayed in order to ensure the safety of everyone in our community. This, combined with the inability to travel by our members due to travel restrictions imposed by countries around the world, make this delay necessary. We hope and plan to hold the World Congress next summer, in 2026.
